WOMEN' S JOURNEY

As women, we are ready to consciously determine who we are;

what we deserve; and what we want. Giving to others must include giving

to ourselves. Knowing ourselves is our source of empowerment.

Women's Journey has its roots in the doctoral work of its Founder, Ann Mody Lewis.

In this ground breaking work, entitled Codependency and the Socialization of Women,

she traced the connection between gender socialization and the psychological life of women.

You can visit the Library to read a major portion of this work.

On February 15, 1996, the Women's Journey movement was initiated. Dr. Lewis presented

her program of resocialization that progressively and systematically guides women back to

their internal unity.

Women's Journey has been meeting each month at the Deicke Auditorium in Plantation, FL.

In addition to the monthly meetings, special events are planned.

Those events included a "Celebration of Women" during the month of March.

In the past, Diversity Seminars were also held exploring the topics of community,

culture, sexuality, spirituality, food, and Self.

Women's Journey is directed by a council of Women who are, in addition to

Dr. Lewis, Maggie Davidson, Linda Wisniewski and Kathleen Gilead.

The Council meets once a month to discuss future projects for Women's Journey

and to plan the next monthly meeting.

The history we make is connected to the vision we have.

Women's Journey, Inc. envisions a world in which women have choices

that are only limited by their determinations.

Women's Journey was incorporated on May 18, 2000, and received its tax-exempt status as

a 501(c)(3) organization, which means that donations to Women's Journey are tax deductible.

Our website is designed to bring our message to thousands of women who yearn for peace.

Now, we are expanding our community by offering the Online Journey to women in all parts

of the world. With the gentle guidance of Dr. Ann Lewis, women will discuss the monthly

topic as it relates to their lives.

Most recently Ann Mody Lewis completed and published her book, Me, Again the

untold story of every women's life. This book is being used by women in every walk of life.

It helps men and women understand the internalized prejudice that divides their worlds.

We are excited about what Women's Journey has accomplished in the last twelve years.

The most important part of Women's Journey's history is the thousands of women who

have been touched by the sharing and insights gained at the meetings and NOW,

the dramatic possibilities that lie in its future! Feel the excitement with us as we magnify

the voice of peace of all women and men. You can create a new world by recreating the

world you live in.
